PROJECT BRIEF

The 19th Century grade II listed house is a sandstone detached house with slate roof which was later extended to the side. Features include three striking bays fronting to Parliament Street some of which contain stone mullioned windows, along with decorative hoodmoulds.

The client approached Sphere Architects to explore the changes that could and could not be made to the building as it is a Listed Building within a conservation area. The Architectural services involved liaising with the conservation officer to advise the client on elements of work that could and could not take place. Architectural services included the preparation of drawings for the submission to the local planning authority. Areas of work explored included the roof, windows, proposed extensions, internal modifications, new front door and surrounding joinery.
