11 CHURCH LANE, ECCLESTON, ST HELENS
EXTENSION AND HOUSE RENOVATION / REMODELLING
PROJECT BRIEF
Following on from the successful completion of 13 Church Lane the residents of 11 Church Lane approached Sphere Architects to provide Architectural Services for their house. The client had recently purchased their house which was a two storey detached house on a large plot of land. The existing house was a timber framed house with a conservatory to the front of the property and large unusable extensions to the rear.
The clients brief was for the modernisation of the front of the property, to create a grand hall to the upper bedrooms and to extend the rear to create a large open plan space, with a large master bedroom to the first floor with a balcony overlooking the garden. The project involved a large amount of demolition to the house to strip it all back to aid the successful flow of the proposed new elements with the existing. The front of the house was redesigned to create a large entrance space that brought light into the main hall and surrounding rooms. The front entrance element design tied the house together as one and created a great flow to all the rooms within the house.
